Roy Davis

Roy M. Davis, 86, of Candler, passed away at home on Friday, January 20, 2012. A native of Cleveland, TN, he was a son of the late Jackson Millard Davis and Jessie Brown Davis. Roy was a Veteran, serving in the Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Sexton Burnette Davis and son, Timothy Davis.
He is survived by his son, William Michael Davis of Summerville, GA; sister, Dollie Griffith of Cleveland, TN; grandson, Michael R. Davis and step-children, Billie Louise McCoy and husband, Kelly of Candler, William Hugh Burnette and wife, Jeane, of Candler and Larry Thomas Burnette, and wife Tracie of Gulfport, MS.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, January 22nd in the Chapel of Faith at Moore Funeral Home a Forest Lawn, the Rev. Andrew Russo will officiate. The family will receive friends in the chapel on Sunday from 2:00PM until the service. Burial will take place at Piney Mountain Church Cemetery, Candler. His step-grandsons, Terry, John and Chris McCoy, Rick and Daniel Banks and Todd Burnette will be pallbearers.
