Roy Trull

Roy Trull, age 70, died Thursday, April 23, 2009 at his residence. A native of Haywood County, he was a son of the late Carl and Leola Cathey Trull. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tony Trull; a daughter, Denise George; three brothers, Joe, Dean, and Jerry Trull; and a sister, Elaine Murphy. Roy was employed by Union Camp / International Paper in Eastover, SC for 19 years as an electrician and was a United States Air Force veteran. He was a great NASCAR fan, loved the outdoors and he used to spend a lot of time hunting and fishing. Roy was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time and visiting with them. He absolutely loved all of his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Brenda Gregg Trull; three sons, Darren Trull and his wife, Lisa, of Killen, AL, Todd Trull and his girlfriend, Jessica, of Decatur, AL, Keith Trull and his wife, Vickie, of Munith, MI; one step-son, Tim Burnette and his wife, Yvonne, of Canton; two daughters, Carol Trull and her fiancé, Jeremy Ball, of Waynesville, and Cindy Cooper and her husband, Wayne, of Barnwell, SC; two sisters, Cathey Mehaffey and her husband, Dewey, of Canton, and Carleen Duckett and her husband, Bobby, of Clyde; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his mother-in-law, Mary Gregg of Clyde. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2009 at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain with Reverend Dean Clontz officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Wells Funeral Home of Canton.
