Ruby Bonham

Canton - Ruby Pressley Bonham, age 94, formerly of Hilltop Farm Road in Canton, died Thursday, October 11, 2007 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and a daughter of the late Harley and Carrie Moates Pressley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank E. Bonham, who died in 1989, and a son, Johnnie Bonham, who died in 2006. She is survived by two daughters, Judy Hipps and her husband, John, and Jan West and her husband, Eric, all of Canton; four sons, Charles Bonham and his wife, Roberta, of Clyde, Douglas Bonham and his wife, Linda, of St. Joseph, MI, Michael Bonham and his wife, Jean, of Seneca, SC, and David Bonham of Canton; one brother, John Pressley of Beverly Shores, IN; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 13, 2007 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Perry Hines and Reverend Terry Penland officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Newfound Road. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. prior to the service.
