Ruby Clark

Ruby Embler Clark, age 81, died Thursday, December 4, 2008 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Mildred Winchester Embler. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Paul Clark, who died in January, 2008 and one brother, Joe Embler. She was employed with St. Joseph Medical Center as a nurse for over 20 years. Ruby enjoyed socializing with friends and family and was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church. She is survived by two sons, Jim Clark and his wife, Becky, and Carl Clark all of Candler; one daughter, Kathy Benson and her husband, Jim, of Arden; one sister, Dorothy Dills of Rutherfordton; one brother, Jim Embler and his wife, Francis, of Winston Salem; two granddaughters, Dawn Muse and McKenzie Benson; a very special grandson, Jonathan Clark; and a great-grandson, Alex Muse. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2008 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jack W. Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Ridgeway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
