Ruby Hannah

Ruby Haney Hannah, age 87, died Saturday, January 1, 2005 at Pisgah Manor Health Care Center. She was a native of Buncombe County and the daughter of the late Zeb B. and Connie Annie Smith Haney. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ralph Hannah who died in 1967, a brother, Kelly Haney and a sister, Sarah Henson. She retired from K-Mart with 30 years of service at the age of 81. She was a member of Brownsview United Methodist Church. She is survived by two sons, Jim Hannah and Carl Steven Hannah both of Candler; two brothers, Charles Clifford Haney of Candler and Glen Roy Haney of Rutherfordton; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2005 at Brownsview United Methodist Church in Candler with the Reverend Will Pruett and Reverend Ed Worley officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
