Ruby Dalton Harmon

Ruby Dalton Harmon, 80, of Asheville passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023, at Aston Park Health Care. A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late James Hilliard and Mary Leatha Gibson Dalton.

Working in the restaurant industry for most of her life, she was the former manager of Hungry Bull, Ryan’s and Western Steer restaurants. She loved to travel, camp and work in her flower garden. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Dwayne Harmon (Charlene) of Asheville and Ronnie Harmon (Tammy) of Murfreesboro, TN; two sisters, Barbara Wallen of Candler and Martha Penley of Asheville; brother, Johnny Dalton of Mills River; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren,

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Wells Chapel of Faith. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 pm.
