Ruby Haynes

Fines Creek Community, Ruby Ledford Haynes, age 92, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Autumn Care of Waynesville. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Edward Bennett and Hattie Rathbone Ledford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Hascue Lenard Haynes, who died in 2013. Ruby enjoyed volunteering with the Salvation Army Church. She retired from Lake Junaluska Assembly with 30 years of service. Ruby is survived by her son, Lenard Haynes; three grandchildren, Victor and Michael Haynes, and Melody Haynes; six great-grandchildren, Sara Scott, Evan Flood, Dylan, Garrett, Austin and Kimberly Haynes; three great-great-grandchildren, Spencer Ashbrook, Peyton Scott, and Samuel Norton. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017 at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. on Friday at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
