Ruby Davis

Canton – Ruby Payne Davis, 85, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Mission Memorial Campus.

A native of Madison County, she was a daughter of the late Roosevelt and Belle Lungsford Payne.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Howard Davis; two brothers, Robert and Hoy Payne; and one sister, Alma Lee Taft.  Ruby was a member of Belmont Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Rose Ann Davis of Canton; one brother, Grover Payne of Clyde; one grandchild, Benjamin Seth Davis (Amber); two great-grandsons, Braden Carson and Sawyer Rogers; a special niece, Linda Ferguson; and caregiver, Ruth Stamey.

A private graveside service will be held, and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
