Ruby Killian

Clyde-Ruby Kathleen Massie Killian, age 81, died Monday, January 17, 2005 after an extended illness at her daughter's home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was a daughter of the late C. M. and Rena Rhinehart Massie. She was the wife of the late Ben F. Killian who died December 4, 2001 and was also preceded in death by a sister Helen Massie and three brothers, Hershel, Rhea Todd and Joe Massie. She worked a number of years at American Enka and was a member of Clyde Central United Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Helene and Paul Price of Canton and Sherry and David Gentry of Clyde, two sons and their wives, Benny and Kathrine Killian of Mt. Olive, MS and Bobby and Jane Killian of Clyde, three sisters, Naomi Cole and her husband Ormond of Leicester, Hilda Cox and her husband Warren of Greenwood, SC and Lois Robinson of Canton, two brothers and their wives, Charlie and Pauline Massie of Clyde and Earl and Rose Massie of California, 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2005 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services. Reverend Randy Tingle, Reverend James Hart and Reverend Carrol Lindsey will officiate. Burial will follow at Fincher's Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence of Helene and Paul Price, 168 Plott Drive, Canton. Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Lowe, Mark Stephenson, Mike Killian, Jonathan Wilson, Michael Scott, Chuck Jenkins, Donald Messer and Michael Fisher.
