Ruby Warren

Canton-Ruby Hyde Warren, age 79, died Thursday, December 23, 2004 at her residence at 101 Davis Hill Road. She was a lifelong resident of Haywood County and was a member of East Canton Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Fidi and Bessie Hyde. She was preceded in death by three Sisters, Mae Johnson, Cindy Crawford, Frankie Linn and two brothers, Joe Hyde and Billy Hyde. Surviving is her husband Bud Warren of the home, one son Jerry Warren and wife Judy of Tuckasegee, two daughters, Sherry Norris of the home and Kathy Doughton and her husband Joe of Memphis, TN, seven grandchildren, Christy Wilson of Asheville, NC April Warren of Asheville, NC, Jennifer Proffitt of Candler, NC, Amy Hall of Canton, NC, Wendy Henson of Waynesville, NC, Stacey Doughton of Boone, NC and Justin Doughton of Memphis, TN. She also had 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 26, 2004 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Homes with Reverend Johnny Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Crawford/Ray Memorial Gardens in Clyde. The family will receive friends from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service.
