Rue Ann Amos Ross, age 55, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009, at Mission Hospital, Memorial Campus. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Judy Devlin Amos and the late Sewell Dean Amos. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jamie Ross, who died March 3, 2004, and a brother, Terry Dean Amos. She was employed with Harry's Cadillac for 18 years as a warranty writer and was a member of Morning Star United Methodist Church. Rue Ann loved fishing at Fontana Lake, visiting the Outer Banks, and spending time with her friends and family. She is also leaving behind two special companions, "Little Girl" and "Chi-Chi". In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Brandon Barrett of Canton; a daughter, Brook Barrett of Canton; a step-son, Colby Ross of Candler; a sister, Sandra Pressley and her husband, Dean, of Waynesville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2009, at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Doug Love officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Western North Carolina AIDS Project, P. O.
