Ruth Gragg

Ruth Bramlette Gragg, age 97, a loving aunt that was a mother to us all, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Silver Bluff Nursing Home. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Vol B. and Docia Cole Bramlett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fain E. Gragg, who died in 1946; four brothers, Jesse, Arthur, James, and Ralph Bramlett and three sisters, Mildred Panter, Evelyn Sutton, and Hilda Ruth Queen Hill. She retired from Champion International with 47 years of service and was a lifelong member of Canton Wesleyan Church. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Terry Penland officiating. Burial will follow at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery, Old Clyde Road. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
