Ruth Greer

Waynesville, Ruth Greer, age 88, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015 at her home. Ruth was a native of Hackettstown, New Jersey, prior to Waynesville, she resided in Hawaii. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Laura Elyea Shay, and was also preceded in death by her husband, William Greer, who passed away in 1986. Ruth will be remembered as a loving and caring mother with an affinity for reading, crossword puzzles, and playing the piano. Ruth is survived by a daughter, Janet Greer, of Waynesville; and two sons, Thomas Greer, and his wife, Bonnie, of Bath, Pennsylvania and Don "Bub" Greer, of Waynesville; six grandchildren, Sarah "Dowsha", Colleen, Lori, Jeffrey, J.R., and Gary; and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2015 at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
