Ruth Jones

Ruth Snyder Jones, age 94, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Smoky Mountain Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Wiley and Hazel Snyder. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Swann and a nephew, Roger Norris. She was a member of Louisa Chapel United Methodist Church. Ruth enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She is survived by a sister, Frances Swanger of Clyde and a niece, Verba K. Norris of Clyde. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend James Armstrong officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Clyde. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
