Ruth Rogers

Iron Duff-Ruth Mae Rogers, age 75, of Coleman Mountain Road, died on Friday, March 16, 2007 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Haywood, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Girtha Duckett Wright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bennett Rogers, who died in 1967. She was of Baptist faith and enjoyed flowers, gardening, crocheting, and knitting. She is survived by her son, Donny Rogers of Lexington, SC and a sister, Esther Lee Frisbee and her husband, Floyd, of Waynesville. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2007 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Taylor and Reverend Ted Reeves officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday prior to services. Serving as pallbearers will be Phillip, Adam, and Austin Chambers, Stuart Green, and Bob and Jim McClure. Memorials may be made to Haywood County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 931
