Ruth Plott

Waynesville-Ruth Lorena McCrary Plott, age 81, formerly of Hillside Terrace, died on Tuesday, August 2, 2005 at Hospice House of Union County in Monroe, NC. A native of Haywood County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charles B. and Naomi McCracken McCrary. She was also preceded in death by a brother, William "Billy" McCrary and a sister, Mary Jane Green. She graduated from Blanton's Business School and was employed by American Enka as a manager. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Waynesville. She enjoyed visiting with children and being active in her church circle. She is survived by two daughters, Carol Jean Horne of Matthews, NC and Deborah Ann Masotti and her husband, John, of Fayetteville, NC; a son, Robert "Cody" Plott and his wife, Becky, of Pebble Beach, CA; and six grandsons. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2005 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes and Cremation Services with Reverend Dr. Lyn Sorrells officiating.
