Ruth Schwarzwaelder

Waynesville, Ruth Abby Blair Schwarzwaelder, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Haywood Regional Medical Center. A native of Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Andrew James and Abby Mae Ryno Blair. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Schwarzwaelder, who died in 1999. Ruth was a homemaker and a member of the Presbyterian faith. She is survived by two sons, David B. Schwarzwaelder and his wife, Elaine, of Lake Junaluska and Robert Schwarzwaelder of Charlotte; two grandchildren, Karen Wicker and her husband, Darren, and Karl Schwarzwaelder and his wife, Valerie, and three great grandchildren, Christian, Elora and Daniel. At her request, there will be no services. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
