Ruth Wright

"1920 – 2016" Canton – Ruth Ellen Metcalf Wright, age 95, passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Greensboro, North Carolina. A native of Haywood County, she was a daughter of the late John David and Dovie Kuykendall Metcalf and was a graduate of Bethel High School. She is survived by three sons, Robert W. "Bob" Wright, Jr. of Baja, Mexico, Phillip Gary Wright, (Diana), of Canton, and Donald Ray Wright of Greensboro; three grandchildren, Christopher Wright, Teresa Deaver, and Tobie Wright; and two grandsons. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the home of her son, Phillip Wright, 25 Brooklane Drive in Canton with Reverend Clarence "Bo" Padgett officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Greensboro, 2502 Summit Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27405-4522.
