Ruth Wyatt

Waynesville, Ruth Robinson Wyatt, age 90, passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2014 at The Homestead. She had resided at Autumn Care for the past three years. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Belle Harvel Robinson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Salem Wyatt, Sr., who died in 1992; and 12 brothers and sisters. She was employed by Dayco Corporation in the Packaging Department with 20 years' service. Ruth loved being a homemaker, fishing, reading, watching old T.V. programs and spending time with her family. She is survived by three sons, Salem Wyatt Jr., and his wife, Beth, of Clyde, Mike Wyatt and his wife, Shirley, of Waynesville and Steve Wyatt of Waynesville; three grandchildren, Lauri Wiggins and her husband, Bob, Anna Rowe and her husband, Jason all of Bethel and Sarah Wyatt of Cruso; seven great-grandchildren; Molly, Maggie and Mark Wiggins, Emilie and Gracie Wyatt and Justin and Jessie Young; and one step-granddaughter, Kelly and her husband, Jerry Young of Asheville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2014 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Philip Wyatt and Reverend Tim Lolley officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Bob and Mark Wiggins, Jerry and Justin Young and Jason Rowe. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to MedWest-Haywood Hospice, 560 Leroy George Drive, Clyde, NC 28721.
