Ryan Miller

Waynesville, NC - Ryan Patrick Miller, age 34, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2013. Born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Ryan spent his first 18 years of life traveling the world with his military family. He was the son of Colonel Nick and Shirley Miller. He served as an infantryman in the 101st Airborne Division. He was an electrician and an accomplished guitar player. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Louden Miller of Morgantown, WV; a sister, Stephanie Byers, of Centreville, VA; a brother, Justin Miller, of Fayetteville, NC; three aunts, Janice Callahan, of Margate, FL, Susan Forkey of Boca Raton, FL, and Donna Simmons of Plantation, FL; two uncles, Mike Miller of St. Louis, MO and Mike Simmons of Ocala, FL; two nephews, Alexander Miller and Ethan Byers; two nieces, Olivia Miller and Payton Byers; a great uncle, Dr. Arnold "Bud" Paolasini of Chicago, IL; and many cousins. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Waynesville, NC. Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Waynesville is in charge of arrangements.
