Saba Cody

Waynesville-Saba Wilson Cody, age 96, formerly of Dutch Cove Road, died Friday, December 17, 2004 at Autumn Care Nursing Home. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and was the daughter of the late William G. and Arnica Smathers Wilson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Arthur A. Cody who died in May of 1973, a daughter Kathryn Spurling in 1996 and 3 brothers and 6 sisters. She was a member of Morning Star United Methodist Church where she was a member of the WSCS, the church board and a member of the church choir for many years. She is survived by her daughter Caroline Muse and her husband Doyle of Waynesville, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2004 at Morning Star United Methodist Church with Reverend Doug Love officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
