Sally Plemmons

Clyde, Sally Fulbright Plemmons, age 81, of 304 Justice Drive, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Memorial Mission Hospital. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Haywood and Nancy Jane McDaniel Fulbright. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Reverend George D. Plemmons, who died in 2011; four brothers; two sisters; and one great grandchild. Sally enjoyed keeping children most of her life and was a member of Rocky Branch Freewill Baptist Church. She is survived by three sons, Robert Plemmons and his wife, Wanda, of Clyde, Doug Plemmons and his wife, Helen, and Richard Plemmons and his wife, Tina, all of Waynesville; four daughters, Doris Griffin and Martha Jane Wyatt and her husband, Frank, of Waynesville and Mary Jo Lewis and her husband, Ernest, and Shirley Cagle, of Clyde; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Neil Roland and Reverend Frank Wyatt officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
