Sandra Chambers

Canton – Sandra Kay Chambers, age 59, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016. Kay was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the daughter of the late Frank and Sarah Kathryn Rhinehart Chambers. Kay was a 1974 graduate of Pisgah High School and received an Associate Degree at Haywood Community College. She was formerly employed with Nationwide Insurance and the Department of Motor Vehicles. Kay worked as a secretary/receptionist at Pisgah High School from 1996 until retirement in 2015. She is survived by a brother, Kevin H. Chambers and his wife, Vicki, of Canton; one nephew, K.C. Chambers and his wife, Melissa, of Etowah; a great-niece, Haylen Chambers of Etowah; and two uncles, Earl Rhinehart of Bethel and Bob Rhinehart of Dawsonville, Georgia. To honor Kay's request, private services will be held. Memorials may be made to Piney Grove UMC Cemetery Maintenance Fund, 986 Country Club Drive, Canton, NC 28716.
