Sandra Kay Chambers Chapman

Sandra Kay Chambers Chapman, 61, of Candler died on Wednesday, November 29. 2023.  She was born in Mecklenburg County, NC to the late William Chambers and Gladys Clark England.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Shropshire.

Sandra worked as a presser at Hour Glass Cleaners of Asheville for 20 years.  She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family.

She is survived by her husband, Darryl Chapman; sons, John Simpson, Jr. and Jonathan Elliott; daughter, Tosha Long; Sisters, Beverly Eury, Sheila Mahaffey and Nancy Brice; brothers, Tim Chambers and Joe Rimer and four grandchildren.

A memorial service, followed by a Celebration of Life, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on April 21, 2024 at the Beaverdam Community Center, 161 Beaverdam Loop Rd. Candler, NC 28715. Reverend Greg Metcalf will officiate. All friends and family are welcome to attend. Flowers may be sent prior to the service to 35 Neil Hoilman Drive, Candler, NC 28715.
