Sandra Williams

March 25, 1950 — April 7, 2004

Waynesville-Sandra Diana Sutton Williams, age 54, of 73 Bamboo Lane, died April 7, 2004 at her residence.

A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Jessie F. and Ruby Lee Justice Sutton. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Carroll, James, and Calvin Sutton, and a sister, Addie Mae Paul. She retired in 1997 from Dayco after 30 years employment as a knitter. She enjoyed flowers.

She is survived by her husband of more than three years, Mauri Williams; three sisters, Jessie Lee Sutton and Dorothy Volner, both of Waynesville, and Dora Jackson of Tucoma, Washington; and one brother, David Sutton, and his wife, Jean, of the Bethel Community.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 9, 2004 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services with Reverend Johnny Swanger officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be Tracy and Jamie Thibodeaux, Charles Volner, Homer and J.D. Williams, and Jerry Smith. Dewey Volner and Don Hill will serve as honorary pallbearers.
