Sara Davis

December 24, 1914 — October 18, 2007

Waynesville-Sara Ellen Sullivan Davis, age 92, died on Thursday, October 18, 2007 in Chattanooga, TN. A native of Williamston, SC, she had lived in Haywood County for more than 50 years. She was the daughter of the late Russell Dean Morgan and Nellie Taylor Morgan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Moseley Sullivan, Sr. who died in 1951 and her second husband, Henry R. Davis, who died in 1977; and a sister, Mildred Thutt. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Waynesville. She retired from Haywood County Hospital in 1977. She is survived by one daughter, Sally S. Boone of Buford, GA and one son, Harry Sullivan, Jr. and his wife, Amelia, of Chattanooga, TN; two stepsons, Edwin Davis, of Travelers Rest, SC and Dr. Wilburn Davis, of Brevard, NC; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, 2007 in the chapel of the First Baptist Church of Waynesville with Reverend Dr. Robert Prince officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. prior to services. Serving as pallbearers will be Tripp, Jeff and Van Sullivan, Joe Boone, Brian Shulstad and Chris Dahlgaard. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Waynesville, P.O.
