Sarah Chambers

Bethel - Kathryn Rhinehart Chambers, age 75, of 4848 Old River Road went to Heaven to be with her Lord, husband Frank, and Mother and Daddy she loved so much. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was a native and lifelong resident of Haywood County and the daughter of William Ray and Elizabeth S. Rhinehart. She was preceded in death not only by her parents but her loving husband, Frank of 51 years who died in 2003. Kathryn had worked for Southern Bell Telephone Company and at Haywood County Hospital through the years. She was a 1950 graduate of Bethel High School and was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved everyone. Kathryn is survived by a daughter, Kay Chambers and a son, Kevin Chambers and his wife, Vicki, and their son, K. C. Chambers, her beloved grandson, all of Bethel; two brothers, Earl Rhinehart of Bethel and Bob Rhinehart of Dawsonville, GA as well as a "very special aunt" Zelda Rhinehart Grogan of Leicester. Private graveside services were held at Piney Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery on Wednesday, March 7, 2007 with Reverend Dr. Roy Kilby officiating. The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Piney Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Johnny Woody, 542 Reed Cove Road, Waynesville, NC 28786.
