Sarah Palmer

Waynesville, Sarah Elizabeth Hyatt Palmer, age 64, of Calhoun Road, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at the John F. Keever Solace Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Hayden Frank and Elsie Jane Sutton Hyatt and was also preceded in death by her husband, Bob Palmer, who died in 2013 and one brother, Roger Hyatt. She was employed as a cosmetologist at Fantasy Hair Fashions for 20 years. Sarah was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who also enjoyed doing crafts and gardening. Sarah is survived by a son, Chase Palmer (Jessica); step-sons, Greg Palmer, Jimbo Palmer (Sherri) and Jeff Palmer (Polly); brothers, Michael Hyatt (Lucia) and Carroll Lee Hyatt (Barbara), all of Waynesville; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Jason Queen officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
