Sarah Phillips

Asheville-Sarah Louise Phillips, age 82, formerly of Haywood County, died on Tuesday, August 16, 2005 at her residence. She was a native of Haywood County and was the daughter of the late Troy and Sarah Boyd Leatherwood. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Emmie Jones Nerney. She was a member of Hardeeville United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband, Horace B. Phillips, II; two daughters, Sarah Jane Sumer and her husband, Yavuz, of Hardeeville , SC and Rebecca Anne Berry and her husband, Mike, of Bogart, GA; one brother, Jim Leatherwood of SC; and seven grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2005 at Green Hill Cemetery with Reverend Linwood Kennedy officiating. Memorials may be made to Mountain Area Hospice, P.O.
