Scott Bartucca

Waynesville, Scott Lawrence Bartucca, age 36 of Clearwater Drive, died Thursday, November 6, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital. He was a native of Waterloo, NY and had lived in Haywood County for the past four years. He attended St. Johns University and Oswego State University. Scott was a devoted father and worked as a private investigator. He was a member of Hemphill Baptist Church and enjoyed camping and hiking and was an avid sports fan. He was on the 1990 USA Junior National Baseball Team and played one year of minor league baseball after being drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays. Scott is survived by one son Nathan; Nathan's mother, Laura; his parents, Paul Bartucca, Sr. and Nancy Arndt Bartucca; two brothers Paul Bartucca, Jr. of Waynesville and Mike Bartucca of Boston, M.A; and two nephews Eric and Ethan Bartucca; and girlfriend, Michelle Boyd. A celebration of Scott's life will be at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 9, 2008 at Hemphill Baptist Church followed by lunch and fellowship at the church. Reverend Dwayne Rathbone will officiate.
