Scott Dean

Asheville - Scott Coleman Dean, age 83, of Oak Crescent Drive died Monday, November 21, 2005 at VA Medical Center. He was a native of Swain County and the son of the late Elmer A. and Emma Ball Dean. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thaddeus and Charles Dean. He was a United States Navy veteran serving during World War II. In addition to his wife of 47 years, Rometta Buchanan Dean, he is survived by a son, Gregory Scott Dean of Asheville; a daughter, Pamela D. Israel of Candler; two sisters, Virginia Young of West Asheville and Frances Keller of Denver, NC and two grandchildren Amanda Leigh and Bradley Scott Israel. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25, 2005 at the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend Dr. James Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Cemetery in Asheville. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
