Scott Dover

Asheville-Scott Allison Dover, age 48, died on Sunday, June 4, 2006 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of William Gaston Dover and Wanda Coleman Dover. He graduated from Tuscola High School and Haywood Community College. He was employed by GNC Health Foods and previously was employed by the Waynesville Country Club as general manager for 25 years. He was a proud member of the Waynesville Rotary Club and supported many endeavors of Haywood Community College and fundraisers for special needs children including the Oasis Shrine Temple Golf Tournaments. He is survived by a son and daughter, Emily Catherine Dover and William Tyler Dover and their mother, Cathy "Cricket" Dover; one sister, Cecily Dover Hall and husband, Sam, of Asheville; one brother, William Brentwood Dover and wife, Phyllis, of Shelbyville, TN; and two nephews and one niece. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2006 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend W.T. Medlin officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home, and at other times, at 50 Braddock Way in Asheville. Serving as pallbearers will be Benny Coleman, Stanley Arrington, José Hermida, Tyler Dover, Randall Rogers, Skeeter Curtis, Steve Kaufman, and Jeff Ferguson.
