Scott William Lundgren, Sr. of Waynesville, North Carolina passed away on September 10, 2021 at Mission Memorial Hospital. He was 60 years old and was a native of West Palm Beach, Florida. Scott was the son of the late Charles M. Lundgren, Sr. and Donna Patterson. He was preceded in death by his late brother, Charles Lundgren, Jr.
Scott proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for four years. While stationed in Mannheim, Germany, Scott met his amazing wife of 38 years, Wanda Lundgren. Scott’s memory lives on through his wife, Wanda; his daughter, Sandie, and her husband, Derek; his son, Scott Lundgren Jr., and his wife, Jessica; his siblings, Kristine Carlan and Kenneth Lundgren; and his best friend, Jerome Hughes. In addition to being a caring husband and father, Scott reveled in being a grandfather to his grandsons, Landon and Bryce Wallace and granddaughter, Violet Lundgren; two step-brothers, Keith and Kevin Patterson and one step-sister, Tami Patterson.
A jokester at heart, Scott was a man who grasped the attention of any room he walked into. He was known for being compassionate and loved his family, friends, and dog Chloe. He had the kindest heart and befriended anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2021, in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home.
The care of Mr. Lundgren has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville.
