Scott Shelton

Waynesville, Scott Shelton, age 41 of Plott Mountain Road, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013. He was a native of Haywood County and the son of Joe Shelton and the late Barbara Shelton. Scott was a self-employed cable contractor and member of Fairview Baptist Church. He loved fishing, boating, racing and being with his family. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Angela Shelton, father and step-mother Joe and Betsy Shelton, step-father Kenny Bryson, grandmother Ellen Rathbone, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Doug and Martha Greer, two sons Saylor Scott Shelton and Sammy Joe Shelton, two half-brothers, Jonathan and Joseph Shelton, two step-brothers, Chris and Michael Bryson and two aunts Wanda Cool and Rosemary Shelton. The memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Fairview Baptist Church. Reverend Jennings Sizemore and Reverend Gary Putnam will officiate. Burial will be at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Wells Funeral Homes & Cremation Services of Waynesville is in charge of arrangements.
