Sharon Bonita Smith

Sharon “Sherri” Smith, passed away unexpectedly on April 3, 2024. She was 74 years old. Her family is deeply saddened by her sudden death.

Sherri is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Titus Smith, her daughters Kellie Carr Piet (Greg) and Vickie Humbird Robinson (Chad) and her granddaughter Jordan Humbird (Nauja). Sherri was predeceased by her parents Willie "Bill" Huhn & Mildred "Scoot” Faulkner Muirhead.

Sherri was born in Jackson, Mississippi on July 16, 1949. Sherri dedicated 18 years to Harrah’s Cherokee Casino before retiring. Beyond her career, she was best known for her role as a loving mother and nana and she was a devout member of Landmark Apostolic Church of Maggie Valley, NC.

Sherri was a fun spirited soul who took on many passions, just some of which included cross-stitching intricate designs, tending to her many flower beds, watching the birds and various wildlife that crossed through her yard and exploring her creativity through various crafts - each activity reflected a unique facet of her vibrant spirit.

The echoes of Sherri's laughter and the warmth of her love will forever resonate in the hearts of her family and friends. As we bid farewell to this remarkable woman who touched so many lives with tenderness and care, we find peace in knowing that her spirit shall live on through the memories she gifted us with.

She will be forever missed. Until we meet again.
