Sharon Kim Jones Fisher, known affectionately as Kim, passed away at Yancey House, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and selflessness.

Born in Buncombe County, Kim dedicated her life to caring for others as a respite caretaker in the foster care system. Her impact was immeasurable, having touched the lives of countless individuals in need.  Kim will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her work and her community. She was truly an amazing caretaker within the respite community, bringing comfort and support to those who needed it most. Beyond her career, Kim found joy in simple pleasures like browsing flea markets and exploring various Goodwill stores.

However, Kim's proudest accomplishments were her family. In addition to her beloved mother, Mary Joann Jones; she cherished her daughters Brandi Smith (Jeremy) and Candace Russell (Joey), her son Chris Fisher (Kimberly), and her brother Charles Gregory Jones (Sandy). Kim had a special place in her heart for her five grandchildren: Cameron Smith, Conor Russell, Jencynn Russell, Cambria Fisher, and Tatum Smith. She found immense joy in spending time with them and watching them grow.  In addition to her immediate family, Kim is survived by her aunt Linda Cole and her life-long friend Sue Caldwell Spanton. Together, they mourn the loss of a kind-hearted soul who made the world a better place through her acts of kindness and love.

Kim will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on through the lives she touched and the hearts she warmed with her presence. May she rest in peace knowing that she made a difference in this world through her boundless generosity and care for others.
