Sharon Shearer

Waynesville, Sharon Anita Shearer, born on June 9, 1955, passed away on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Stone Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center. A native of Hendersonville County, she was the daughter of the late Richard Miles and Edith Nations Harkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her caregiver, Ken Meydrech. Sharon graduated from Loma Linda University in California where she went on to become a physical therapist. She was a member of the Waynesville Seventh-day Adventist Church where she enjoyed singing and attending many of the church socials. She is survived by two sons, Jason Shearer, of Greensboro and Josh Shearer of Oregon; her loving church family at Waynesville Seventh Day Adventist Church; and her good friends, Lucretia Pintacuda, Sandy Parman, Charese Pelham and Carol Cheek. A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2015 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Sheridan and Pastor Bryan Myers officiating. A reception will be held in the Wells Event and Reception Center following the service. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Stone Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center for their care and compassion.
