Shelba Forrister Reynolds

Shelba Jene Forrister Reynolds, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at Silver Bluff Nursing & Rehabilitation in Haywood County, North Carolina. She was born in Gastonia, North Carolina, on June 11, 1937. Shelba was known for her incredible sense of humor and her ability to find the beauty in everyone she met. 

Mrs. Reynolds was a tax preparer for H&R Block with a career that spanned 27 years. Her dedication to her profession was demonstrated by the many clients she served over the years. If you were her client, you actually looked forward to tax season because you got to spend time with Shelba Jene. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Mary Etta Rowland Forrister; husband, Jack Howard Reynolds, who died in 2019; and her son, Anthony Howard "Tony" Reynolds, who died in 1983. Their memories will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved them.

Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her daughter, Linda Reynolds, of Canton; two grandsons, Jackson Cabe and Ryan Cabe (Shannen), all of Charlotte; a sister-in-law, Janice Hawkins (Harry Lee); and several nieces and nephews. In this time of grief, may her family find comfort in the love and support of friends and the cherished memories they hold dear.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
