Shirley Wines

Canton – Shirley Anne Howard Wines, age 72, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Mission Hospitals Memorial Campus. A native of Newport News, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Mack Vincent and Nollie Faye Mathews Howard. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by twin great-granddaughters. Shirley was formerly employed by St. Joseph's Hospital and Ravenscroft Family Health Center. Shirley is survived by her husband of 55 years, Ray Wines; two daughters, Lorrie Gradeless and Kim Kielson and her husband, Charles; a son, Mike Wines; two sisters, Harriet Queen and Carolyn "Vonnie" Lester all of Canton; five grandchildren, Amanda Hudson, Jonathan Wines, Samantha Kielson, Jacob Kielson and Jordan Kielson; two great-grandsons, Brady and Finley Hudson and her beloved Schnauzer, "Roxie". Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2016 in the Canton Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the Reverend James Hutchinson officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
