Solvejg Green

Waynesville, Solvejg Nack Green, age 60, passed away on Friday, August 14 , 2009 at St. Joseph Hospital. A native of Germany, she moved to the United States in 1969. She previously lived in Bryson City and had resided in Haywood County for the last year. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Elsa Nack. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Bruce Green; two sons, Mark Stoeckl and his wife, Amy, of Acworth, Georgia and Chris Green and his wife, Tess, of Boyce, Virginia; one daughter, Jamie Green Winchester and her husband, Dewight, of Bryson City; one brother, Uwe Nack of Munich, Germany; eight grandchildren, Alexandria, Darian, Marlee, Brody, Brynn, Dewight, Isabelle, and C.J.; and many nieces and nephews. A private family memorial service will be held at Laurel Ridge Country Club. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SARGE'S Animal Rescue Foundation, P.O. Box 854, Waynesville, NC 28786.
