Sonya Moore

Waynesville, Sonya Annette Moore, age 34, of 223 Camelot Drive, died on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at her residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, she was the daughter of the late Johnny E. Moore and Mabel Ruth Barbee Walkingstick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Inman and grandmother, Wilma Henry. She was employed by Haywood Vocational Opportunites. She is survived by three sisters, Tammy and Lisa Moore, both of Candler, and Candy Stanley and her husband, Gary, of Canton; one bother, Dinky Moore, of Candler; her stepfather, Owen Walkingstick, of Cherokee; two aunts, Pat Rogers and her husband, Keith, of Clyde and Carolyn Crowell and her husband, Ronnie, of Vineland, NJ; one great aunt, Dixie Paige, of Waynesville; and four nieces, Cortney and Emily Stanley and Amanda and Valerie Inman. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth "Sonny" Rhinehart officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
