Waynesville, Dennis Stanley Fullbright, age 63, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at MedWest. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of Gertrude Messer and the late Floyd Fullbright. He was the manager at Waynesville Cycle Center and was a member of Panther Creek Baptist Church. Stanley was an avid fly fisherman and he also enjoyed watching college sports. He was a talented painter and cook, but his passion in life was his family. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Diane Baker (David) and Phoebe Burleson (Bruce) of Lake Junaluska; one brother, John Fullbright, of Clyde; two nieces, Krista King (Reverend Nicholas King) of Hickory and Amy Garner (Ben) of Waynesville; three great nieces, Madeline, Josie, and Lydia; one great nephew, Jeb; a special uncle, Ralph Messer; a special aunt, Elsie Haynes; many cousins; a stepdaughter, Jenny Bumgarner; two stepsons, Eric Bowman and Nolan May; and eight step grandchildren, Heather, Jessica, Makayla, Tiffany, Joshua, Riley, Peyton, and Niai. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Taylor, Reverend Matt Ledbetter, and Reverend Ronnie Green officiating. Interment will follow at Panther Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
