Stephanie Gearheart

Stephanie Leigh Gearheart, 31, of Asheville, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2010. A native of Buncombe County, she was an associate of the Ingles on Smokey Park Highway. She will be remembered for her wonderful smile and giving and caring spirit. Stephanie was a member of Starnes Cove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Bobby Ray Pettit, of the home; mother, Lydia Gearheart of Asheville; father, Alan (Marilyn) Gearheart of Candler; siblings, Andrea Woodruff of Charlotte; Shawn Gearheart (Ivana) of Lexington, SC and Brently Stewart of Asheville; grandmother, Mildred Tripp of Lexington, SC and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her family is thankful to the staff in Oncology at St. Josephs Hospital.
A Celebration of Stephanie's Life will be held at 2PM on Tuesday, October 19th at Starnes Cove Baptist Church, with interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler. The family will receive friends from Noon-2PM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation, 401 Harrison Oaks Blvd., Suite 200, Cary, NC 27513.
