Clyde-Sybil Snyder Ferguson, of 544 Thompson Cove Road, Clyde, passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2007. A native of Clyde, where she lived most of her life, she was retired from Powell Industries where she was employed for 25 years. She was also employed as a bookkeeper at Ward Piano Company for a number of years. She attended Clyde Church of God. She was the daughter of the late Jerry and Anne Thompson Snyder. She is survived by a son, Michael Ferguson and his wife, Beverly, and by her grandson, Andrew, of Nellie John Drive, Clyde. Sisters Betty Haynes of Aiken, S.C. and Irene Sharp of Clyde also survive her. Sisters Sue Jones and Pauline Bolden, and brothers Lawrence and Marvin Snyder preceded her in death. Services will be held at Wells Funeral Home, Waynesville, on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. and will be conducted by the Reverend Mike Nations of Clyde and the Reverend Chris Westmoreland. The family will receive friends two hours prior and will be at 544 and 564 Thompson Cove Road at other times. Pallbearers will be nephews and great-nephews Gene Bolden, Jerry Gregg, Danny Jones, Larry Thompson, Dana Bolden, Eric Bold, Ian Thompson and Blake Jones. Burial will be in Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
