Tamara Miller

"1959 - 2016" Canton - Tamara Elizabeth Lowery Miller, 56, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at St. Joseph Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Sarasota, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Pat Lowery. Tamara was a member of the United States Army Reserves serving as a military police officer. She was a former corrections officer with Buncombe County Sheriff's Department and retired from the Sarasota County Sheriff's Department in Florida. Tamara was a member of the Full Gospel Fellowship Church in Hazelwood. She is survived by her husband of twenty years, Emanuel Miller; two sons, Jacob and Josiah Miller of Canton; four sisters, Lynne Eldridge of Melbourne, Florida, Cindi Dunlop of Sarasota, Florida, Colin Overholt of Riverview, Florida, and Jami Gore of North Port, Florida; and one brother, Robert Lowery, of Bradenton, Florida. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 8, 2016 in the Chapel of Western North Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain with the Reverend Neal Roland officiating.
