Tammy Shuler

Maggie Valley, Tammy "Angie" Shuler, age 43, passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Duke Medical Center. A native of Haywood County, she was the daughter of Smokey McMahan and the late Billy Ray McMahan. Angie was a 1985 graduate of Tuscola High School and was owner/operator of Angie & Company Hair Design. She enjoyed being with her family, going camping, and gardening. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Maggie Valley and served as the church choir director. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 23 years, Chris A. Shuler; two sons, Jared and Joshua Shuler of Maggie Valley; one brother, Tim McMahan and his wife, Lisa, of Knoxville, Tennessee; nephews and niece, Jonah, Abram and Rachel McMahan. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 9, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Maggie Valley with Reverend Ricky Mason and Reverend Wayne Willett officiating. Burial will follow at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday at the church. Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Crow, Kevin Revis, Donald Smith, Barry Blanton, Brandon Sutton and Ashley Moody. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Maggie Valley's Pavilion Fund, P.O. Box 309, Maggie Valley, NC 28751.
