TARA ANN FERRARA ROSE

Canton-Tara Ann Ferrara Rose, age 26, of Cookeville, TN, died Friday, October 18, 2002 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.

She was a native of Fort Campbell, Kentucky and the daughter of Joe and Theresa Bernardini Ferrara. She was employed with Belk Department Stores as a manager trainee and had been with the company for three years. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church in Canton and graduated from Pisgah High School in 1994, where she was a varsity cheerleader. She attended Asheville- Buncombe Technical Community College for two years for a degree in marketing. She was awarded a scholarship in the Canton Miss Labor Day pageant in 1992 and 1993, and served as a state officer in the North Carolina College Marketing Association.

She is survived by her father and step-mother, Joe and Joan Waldrop Ferrara of Canton; her mother Theresa Bernardini-Ferrara of Cookeville, TN, one daughter, Sophia Rose of Cookeville, TN; one sister, Joanna Ferrara of Canton; one brother, Joseph Ferrara, a freshman at N.C. State University, Raleigh, NC; paternal grandmother, Florence Ferrara of Malverne, NY, and maternal grandmother, Anna Bernardini of Brooklyn, NY; and one uncle, Frank Bernardini.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2002 at the Canton chapel of Wells Funeral Homes, with the Reverend Michael Gehring officiating. Burial will be at Garrett-Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:45 a.m. until 1:45 p.m., Wednesday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
