Teresa Whitner

Waynesville, Teresa James Whitner, age 53, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 from injuries due to a motorcycle accident. She was born in Rowan County, NC and resided in Haywood County most of her life. She was preceded in death by her mother, Freida Forrest James. Teresa was employed by Colbond for the past ten years. She enjoyed riding her motorcycle on the parkway. She also enjoyed photography and was very artistic. She is survived by her father, Jimmie James of Waynesville; one son, Zachary Siske, of Wilmington; one sister, Laura Messer and her husband, Billy, of Waynesville; one brother, Mark James and his wife, Robin, of Morristown, TN; a special friend, Michael Siske, of Webster, NC; one niece, Molly James; and nephews, Alex Marcus, Steven James, Justin James, Chad Messer, and Anthony Messer and his wife, Tina, and their son, Aydan. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2008 in the Waynesville Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Reverend Clinton Rowand officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. prior to services and immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HAWA, P.O. Box 992, Waynesville, NC 28786.
