Terrence “Terry” Lee Jackson, 58, of Clyde passed away on Friday, August 27, 2021, at Haywood Regional Hospital following a brief illness. A native of Haywood County, he was son of Carl Eugene and Betty Shoaf Jackson of Clyde.
Terry proudly served as a Sergeant in D1/63 1st Infantry Division of the US Army. He was employed with Promatic Automation for 11 years. Terry loved the outdoors, bass fishing and sunsets. Some of his favorite things were watching his Tarheels and Raiders. He was a die-hard Pisgah Bear fan. Everyone who knew him knew his love for music, rock and roll and heavy metal. He loved his family and friends; his humor and sarcasm will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. He was a member of Clyde First Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 22 years, Kerri Pace Jackson; sons, Sam Jackson and his wife, Keisha of Waynesville and Adam Jackson of Clyde; step-sons, Parker Dalton (Valerie) of Waynesville, Jordan Dalton and his wife, Jenn of Canton, Zach Dalton and his wife, Lacey of Canton and Andrew Dalton (Chloe) of Canton; sister, Tammi Lowe and her husband, Robbie of Clyde; one granddaughter, Nellie Caroline Jackson; step-granddaughters, Olivia, Charlie, Kiya and Jayde Dalton and step-grandsons, Tatum, William and Hendrix Dalton.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Clyde First Baptist Church with Reverend Byron Burnette officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Fund, HomeTrust Bank, 8583 Carolina Blvd., Clyde, NC 28721.
