Terry Kirkpatrick

June 11, 1946 — September 18, 2008

Clyde, Terry Kirkpatrick, age 62, of Wesley Creek, died on Thursday, September 18, 2008 at his residence. A native of Haywood County, he was the son of the late Paul and Lester Brown Kirkpatrick. In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by a son, Johnnie Kirkpatrick. He was a carpenter and enjoyed fishing. Terry was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and attended Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church. He is survived by his stepmother, Esther Kirkpatrick, of Thomasville, NC; one son, Robert Kirkpatrick and his wife, Tiffany, of Canton; two half sisters, Kathy Sumner and her husband, Jerry, of Lexington, NC and Evon Brown and her husband, Carl, of Thomasville, NC; one half brother, Paul Kirkpatrick, Jr. and his wife, Sharon, of Clyde; one granddaughter, Riah Logan Kirkpatrick; his aunt, Pauline Kirkpatrick, who raised him; and the mother of his children, Joyce Barker. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at Fines Creek Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend Jimmy Moore and Reverend J.B. Heatherly officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday evening at Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 90 Stiles Road, Canton, NC 28716. Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville is in charge of arrangements.
